Where will our session take place?
In the beautiful outdoors! From sunlit fields to charming urban backdrops, the Treasure Valley offers stunning locations in every direction. During our pre-session consultation call, we’ll chat about your vision, style, and preferences to choose the perfect spot to tell your story.
What should we wear for our session?
The most important thing is to wear something you feel comfortable and confident in! I want you to look and feel your best during our time together. To make wardrobe planning easier, I’ll share my Style Guide, packed with helpful tips on coordinating outfits, choosing colors, and selecting pieces that photograph beautifully.
Can our dog be in the images too?
Absolutely! I love capturing the bond between people and their dogs—both classic portraits and candid moments. Check out my blog post, “How to Prep for a Photo Session with Your Pet,” for helpful tips!
What time will our photo session be?
The best light happens during the “golden hour”—early morning or the last two hours before sunset. Some locations shine best at specific times, and we’ll finalize the perfect timing during your pre-session consultation call.
Can we do a mix of candid and posed photos?
Absolutely! Every session includes a blend of candid moments and classic posed portraits—both have their own magic. While posed shots offer timeless keepsakes, candid images capture genuine connection and personality. Together, they tell a complete and beautiful story.
Do you shoot weddings?
No, I don’t photograph weddings. My focus is on families, couples, and high school seniors, where I can dedicate my time and creativity to crafting meaningful, personalized portraits. However, I’d be happy to recommend talented local wedding photographers if you need a referral!
Do you photograph newborns?
No, I don’t specialize in newborn photography. My sessions are primarily focused on families, couples, and high school seniors, often in beautiful outdoor settings. If you’re looking for a newborn photographer, I’m happy to share recommendations with you!
How & when do I pay for my session?
A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your date/time in my schedule, applied towards your session cost. The remaining balance is due on or before the day of your session. Payment plans are available upon request, with options for bi-weekly or monthly installments. Accepted payment methods include cash, Zelle, ApplePay, Venmo and PayPal.
